Ingredients
- 50 g of rye flour or even a classic wholemeal flour
- 100 ml of water
- 50 g Natoo oatmeal neutral flavour
- 50 g of Natoo pizza-flavored oatmeal
- Oregano, and rosemary to taste
- 1 g of salt
- 4 g dry yeast (optional, add only if you want oat crackers with a softer and more crumbly texture)
Preparation:
Preparing bread, pizza and focaccia at home is a simple operation but at the same time it is something that always gives great satisfaction. However, it is not often that we try our hand at producing crackers, flatbreads and the like, even though they are excellent as snacks and are still easy to prepare.
Let's see how to make oat crackers similar to a very well-known and appreciated product. The mix of flours we used can be customized if you don't have, for example, rye flour, but this combination is the one that gave us the best results.
Mix all the ingredients well in a bowl and slowly add the water until you reach a homogeneous mixture which should be left to rest for about twenty minutes. Roll out the dough well with a rolling pin as it was done in the past, until it reaches a thickness of about a couple of millimeters. At this point, make the classic little holes using a fork and cut the pasta into rectangles of the size you want.
Place the oat crackers on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake them in a static oven that you have preheated to around 200 degrees. Let them cook for about 20 minutes and prepare yourself for an intoxicating aroma that you will struggle to resist.
